A cosmetologist wishing to acquire an Instructor of Cosmetology License must complete a 45 hour Methods of Teaching course. If a cosmetologist has been licensed less than two years, he/she must also complete a 750 hour teacher training course.

The 750 hour Instructor Training course is offered by CCS. Anyone with a Cosmetology License is eligible to take this course but if you have been licensed less than two years, the SC Board of Cosmetology requires it.

CCS offers both of these courses. Please contact the school for the next 45 hours Methods of Training Course. Classes are usually pm Saturday, Sunday or Monday.

Upon completion of these courses, you must apply for the Instructor exam with the Board of Cosmetology. You are then required to pass a written exam and a practical exam.

If you are interested in taking your license to the next level, give us a call at (843) 669-6855.
